All you need to know about the “Ithmaar Rewards” from Ithmaar Bank in Bahrain

Ithmaar Bank in Bahrain presents its credit card and Ithmaar eCard users with rewarding benefits on their purchases through its loyalty program “Ithmaar Rewards”. The program offers members several choices to redeem their points through the user-friendly and secure online portal the bank provides.

How to register to Ithmaar Rewards?

Customers must have an Ithmaar Credit Card or Ithmaar eCard to become a member of Ithmaar Rewards program. After they issue the card customers will need to register online for the program on the Ithmaar Rewards webpage.

How to earn Ithmaar Rewards points?

Customers earn points with every purchase made on the Ithmaar Bank credit cards or Ithmaar eCard. Customers can check the number of points they earned, and the number that will expire at the "Points Summary" tab of the Ithmaar Rewards portal. It is worth mentioning that points expire within 5 years from the date they are earned.

Points differ based on the card type and the transaction as per the below:

Note that small-ticket transactions include: Fast food chains, taxis, parking lots, theatres, car wash companies, laundry services, coffee shops and other similar small-ticket purchases.

How to redeem Ithmaar Rewards?

Customers can redeem their points instantly via the Ithmaar rewards portal for one of the below options:

Cashback: customers can redeem BD 15 for every 1000 points.
Airline tickets, Hotel Accommodation, and car rental service: customers can redeem points online among 700 airlines, 150,000 hotels, and car rental services. Customers can book their trips within the “Book Travel” section of the Ithmaar Rewards website,
Donations: customers can also donate to the Royal Charity Organization. They can choose this option on the online portal and transfer at the rate of 1000 points = BD 15.
Points Transfer: The program recently added the points transfer feature, where customers can transfer their points to any of the following loyalty programmes:

Land Mark (Shukran Card)
Etihad Airways
Turkish Airlines
Malaysia Airlines
Jet Airways
Ethiopian Airways
Accor Hotels

Furthermore, points will be returned to customers’ accounts if any of their bookings are cancelled and they will be able to use them another time. Customers may also use their Ithmaar rewards portal to book for a friend or family member.

Similar to other rewards programs, customers may pay partially using their points and partially through the Ithmaar credit cards.
