How to open a National Wallet


Customers can request to open a national wallet on the designated website or through authorized agents. When the request is approved, customers can use the National Wallet application available on Google Play and the App Store, activate their accounts and start using the services.


Transactions available through the National Wallet


Cash withdrawal and deposit


Funds can be deposited and withdrawn from the national electronic wallet easily through authorized agents represented by Alawneh Exchange and Alalami Financial Services for 1 JD per transaction. Customers can also withdraw or deposit through ATMs for free however, there is a ceiling for each transaction as shown in the table below:

Money transfer


Customers can transfer a maximum of 500 JD for per transactions to other National Wallet users or users of other electronic wallets, such as Zain Cash, Aya wallet, or others without any extra charges.


Shopping in stores or online


MEPS issues customers an electronic card affiliated with the national wallet account. This card can be used for online shopping or in stores and malls. In addition to that, their MEPS provides the service of wearable watches that depend on NFC technologies for use at stores.


Note that the maximum limit for online shopping is 1000 JD, but can be changed upon request.


Settlement of bills:


MEPS has collaborated with the eFawateercom application to allow customers to settle electricity, water and phone bills, tickets, and other bills through the National Wallet.



Wallets for family members


Customers can create sub -wallets under their account for family members and specify the amount to be added to these wallets. 

Moreover, there is a special National Wallet service for companies and institutions, that allows employers to transfer salaries to employee wallets. Companies can have their own design for these wallets and add customized services that reflect the company's needs.
