Customers can also earn points on both local and international purchases using any of CBD credit cards and vary depending on the category of purchase. Purchases done for car rentals, petrol, insurance and settlement of bills or government transactions earn 0.5 points if spent locally and 0.75 internationally.

How to redeem CBD rewards?

Customers can redeem CBD Points when they accumulate a minimum of 10,000 points through Internet Banking or the Bank's application for one of the following options:

 

  • Travel and Hotels: Points can be redeemed to purchase tickets from more than 300 airlines or book rooms at the any of the 300,000 partnering hotels worldwide.

  • Transfer for Miles: customers can transfer their points to either Skyward miles from Emirates and Etihad Guest Miles from Etihad Airways with every 20 points=1 mile. Find out more here

  • Vouchers: Customers can also redeem points for shopping vouchers from retail stores like Zara, Tommy Hilfiger and many others.

  • Shopping by Points: Customers can also pay for local and international purchases using their CBD points through the bank’s mobile application. Customers will need to activate point’s payment on the application before using the card. After the activation, the purchase is deducted from the points’ balance instead of the account balance.

  • Donation: Customers can donate points to charities collaborating with the Commercial Bank of Dubai; they can donate starting 10,000 points.
